ICON Hospital was selected as best in class for “Diversity Management and Strengthening the Workforce” by the Institute of Diversity in Health Management. The Institute for Diversity in Health Management commissioned the American Hospital Association (AHA) to conduct a national survey of hospitals to determine actions that hospitals are taking in these areas.
The Diversity Management and Strengthening the Workforce Recognition is based on hospitals’ reported efforts to improve diversity management through efforts to recruit, retain, and promote minority individuals within their workforce. ICON CEO Hilda Long was asked to serve as a “Best in Class” panel speaker at the Call to Action to Eliminate Health Care Disparities event.
“This recognition is a great honor. At ICON Hospital, we realize that our most important assets are our employees and we believe that the most important factor contributing to great patient outcomes is recruiting and retaining a competent and caring team of professionals,” says Hilda Long, Hospital CEO.
ICON Hospital has expertise in several clinical programs: Complex Pulmonary, Wound Management, Infectious Disease and Multi-System Medically Complex. ICON Hospital provides medical care services to the following areas: Humble, Kingwood, Cleveland, Porter, New Caney, Splendora, Livingston, Spring, The Woodlands, Conroe, Crosby, Huffman, Dayton, Liberty, and Houston.
